Potomac Flooring Restoration - McMahon residence
This was an outdoor project which required specific care given the circumstances.
The focus here was to install materials that are made to resist the conditions to which they are going to be exposed. It’s not only a matter of appearance but of architectural expertise. We had to level and reinforce the floor to ensure longevity and stability. We first put down Durock, a material that will expand and contract depending on the weather conditions. This is of great benefit to the tile because it will protect it from cracking. The tiles are then glue down on top of it; in this case we used “Manticello” recycled porcelain tiles from “Iris”.
The result is a clean a beautiful product that hides below all the ingenuity and expertise that would make it last for many years.
